Industrial-grade controls integration and reliability automation for airports, ports, government facilities, and institutional infrastructure across South Florida.
Fortis specializes in integrating and modernizing control systems for mission-critical facilities. Industrial-grade thinking applied to commercial and institutional infrastructure.
Real-time visibility into electrical distribution, demand patterns, power quality, and energy performance. Integration with switchgear, panels, and utility metering for facility-wide intelligence.
Reliable backup power monitoring including auto-test sequencing, runtime logging, fuel tracking, and ATS failover analytics. NFPA 110 compliant. Critical for hurricane-prone South Florida facilities.
Lead-lag sequencing, redundancy logic, VFD integration, and remote monitoring for stormwater, lift stations, and cooling infrastructure. Built for reliability when failure isn't an option.
Upgrade legacy control systems with modern Schneider Modicon PLCs, BACnet integration, and structured logic design. Bring old infrastructure into the current decade without ripping it out.
24/7 visibility into your critical systems through web-based dashboards, intelligent alarming, and automated reporting. Standardized monitoring protocols across all your facilities.
Every infrastructure challenge is different. A 30-minute consultation is the fastest way to understand whether Fortis is the right fit for your project.

Terminal HVAC controls, central plant optimization, energy monitoring, and fault detection for aviation infrastructure.
Cruise terminal automation, electrical load monitoring, flood pump station controls, and environmental monitoring.
Courthouses, water treatment plants, emergency management centers, pump stations, and public facilities.
Critical environment control, generator automation, power quality monitoring, and compliance reporting.
Data centers, communications hubs, and any facility where infrastructure failure isn't an acceptable outcome.
Most building automation contractors come from HVAC or electrical trades. We don't.
Fortis was built on industrial automation thinking — the same structured engineering, root-cause analysis, and reliability discipline that runs Toyota production lines and aerospace maintenance operations.
We bring that mindset to commercial and institutional infrastructure. The result is control systems that are properly documented, properly tested, properly redundant, and properly maintained.
Because for the facilities we serve,
"good enough" isn't.
Fortis Control Systems was founded by Valdeci Godoy, an engineer with a background spanning industrial automation, aerospace systems, and infrastructure controls.
His career began in industrial automation with Toyota, where he developed expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and robotics integration. He later moved into aerospace, specializing in fuel tank ignition mitigation systems and serving as subject matter expert across multiple aircraft platforms, including the Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320/A321.
Fortis brings that industrial and aerospace discipline to commercial and institutional infrastructure — where reliability, documentation, and structured engineering matter most.
Whether you're planning a controls upgrade, need a system assessment, or want to discuss a specific infrastructure challenge — we'd be glad to talk.
